Surfer Girl
She rises from the sea, sun-blond, green-eyed, Freckle-tanned. Birthed of kelpy gods, the stuff Of sea-foam and jade-green irridescence. Mother-of-pearl abalone-shell maiden, Who glides upon the swells, the endless swells Which promise her the perfect set to ride Into the barrel to emerge again From the sea, sun-blond, green-eyed Aphrodite. The salt spray fetched to the shore may well be The tears of men and boys who watch, mourning. Know her heart will never belong to earth Or the creatures who dwell upon it. She is of the sea and the windy fetch Of the breakers. She resides only in motion As the sea always swells and swells again As her heart beats only for the set, the drop, This child of kelpy gods, mother-of-pearl Sea-foam abalone-shell maiden.

Love this. Was lucky to spend some time in northern Southern California this winter mostly at the beaches. This took me back there.
one of your best IMO
